Dr. Sifat E Syed is currently working as an Assistant Professor (Child Psychiatry )in Department of Psychiatry, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU), Dhaka. She graduated from Dhaka Medical College in 2007 and completed Fellowship (FCPS) in Psychiatry in 2013. She has special interest and experience in Child and Adolescent psychiatry. She is the treasurer of Bangladesh Association for Child and Adolescent Mental Health (BACAMH) and Secretary of Scientific Affairs of Bangladesh Association of Psychiatrists (BAP). She received many national and international awards like Fellowship of JSPN (Japanese Society for Psychistry and Neurology) in 2015, Donald J Cohen fellowship from IACAPAP (International Association for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Allied Professions) in 2016, and Prof. Hidayetul Islam Gold medal in 2019 for her contribution in the field of mental health.

Dr. Helal Uddin Ahmed is a psychiatrist and graduated in 1999 from Chittagong Medical College and completed MD (Psychiatry) in 2011 from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University, Dhaka. Received fellowship training on Child Psychiatry from ‘Fondazione Child’, Italy and trained on ‘Autism and Neurodevelopmental disabilities’ from South Korea. He received fellowship from Japanese Society of Psychiatry and Neurology (JSPN-Fellow) in 2010, Indo-Global Psychiatric Initiative fellowship (IGPI Fellow) in 2011 and ‘Y-Mind Fellowship’ from Sao Paulo-Brazil in 2013. He was the Area Coordinator of the Australasia region of the Early Career Psychiatrists Council of WPA (World Psychiatric Association) from 2012 to 2014. He has more than 60 publications as author or co-author and presented 50 scientific papers in international conferences held in several countries.
He has more than 400 popular write-ups on mental health issues, published in national daily and weekly newspapers. Three popular non fiction Bangla books written by him published by eminent publishers from Bangladesh.

In 2013 he received “Prof. Hidayetul Islam Gold Medal Award ” for research contribution and devotion in Psychiatry as a young psychiatrist of Bangladesh. Currently he is working as Associate Professor of Child Adolescent and Family Psychiatry in National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Dr. Ahmed is President of Bangladesh Association for child and adolescent mental health.
